Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre
“Children are the foundation of sustainable development. The early years of life are crucial not only for individual health and physical development, but also for cognitive and social-emotional development. Events in the first few years of life are formative and play a vital role in building a child’s future.” – UNICEF
Open to children between the ages of three to four years, Mothers Unite runs an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre. The classes are being held in the mornings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. During these times the children participate in basic education and life skill lessons.
Through this opportunity of early educational stimulation we could make out that our children who attended the ECD are doing better at school than children without this early intervention.
